We know that whenever quilters are gathered, we have a good time! Bring your new projects or UFOs, sewing machines or hand stitching projects, and prepare for a day of relaxation, conversation, good food, and beautiful scenery. There will be door prizes and retreat exclusive sales!

250th Celebration Table Runner

Join in this class to create a table runner that is fit for a semiquincentennial celebration! In class, Susan will guide the class to complete at least one of the table runner blocks. The remaining of the blocks can be completed outside the class or another session can be added to assist with completing the project. The cost for the class and the kit is $59.

Free Motion Quilting

Dive into techniques of free motion quilting! This class will use a panel that can be made into pillows or a table runner, but will allow you to practice the techniques of meandering, loops, and wishbones. We will provide the materials and you bring your machine, free motion foot (e.g., darning foot), thread, pins (safety or straight pins), and scissors. This class will practice free motion quilting and the project can be completed outside of class.

Create a Pie Saver

March 28, 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. 

Create a pie saver in this class to carry your pie or use the pie saver for a gift. Beginner friendly, this project will be finished by the end of glass. You will need 2 fat quarters, a sewing machine, thread, pins or clips, and cutting tools. Join Pam for a fun and productive afternoon.

Beginning Sewing - The Basics

April 18, 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

Getting started can be daunting. We will help you feel more confident in using your machine and making your first projects. Class will cover threading and types of thread, tension settings, needles and replacing them, seam allowances, basic features in your machine, etc. During the class you will create a pillow case.

Bring your machine, fabric for a pillow case, and basic sewing supplies (thread, scissors, etc). 

If you are unable to bring your machine, select the option “with shop machine” for the date of the class.
