Begin the Atomic Starburst Paper Piecing Quilt with Liz Foster. This is a three part course where the first two sessions will focus on mastering the starburst and the third session will start the process of adding in the other elements. This is a great way to get a jump start on the full quilt or simply work on your paper piecing skills for a smaller runner or table topper.

Classes will be on Thursdays, May 16, 23, and 30th at 5:30 p.m.

Cost is for instruction and in class materials. Fabric and pattern available in the shop at an additional cost. 

This class will be the continuation of the paper piecing the atomic starburst. 

Thursday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m.

This class will focus on bring together the starbursts with the other elements in the pattern to assure you have a good start on your larger quilt or are ready to finish a smaller project.

In this session we will focus on paper piecing the starburst in the Atomic Starburst Quilt. 

Thursday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. 

Class cost is $20. Pattern and fabric not included but available. 

Join Lisa to make a colorful coin purse great for moments on the go. Class includes all materials and the cost is $18.

June 21 at 2:30 p.m.

Join this class to work on your piecing and pressing skills while making a Tulip top. The top can be made into a bench pillow or table runner.

We will use the free Tulip Table Runner provided by Moda.

Class cost will be $35 and include fabric for the top from an array of fabrics from our stash!

Thursday, April 18 and 25th at 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Barbara Miller will be teaching this course.

Want to get started with quilting but not sure how to begin? Join Susan as she instructs on doing the churn dash and nine patch. This class will focus on cutting and piecing.  The end product will be two blocks. 

Tuesday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m.

Create the Ohio Star and Jacob’s Ladder block in this class. 

The focus will be on cutting on the bias, increasing your comfort with triangles, and adding borders.

Tuesday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Learn the basics of quilting in this class including adding borders, sandwiching your project, pin basting, outline quilting, and stitching in the ditch. Bring your own project or the blocks from the beginning piecing class.

July 9 and 23, 5:30 p.m. (ends by 8:00)

Make 4 blocks: Nine Patch, Ohio Star, Jacob’s ladder, and Churn Dash Blocks. Join the July classes for adding borders and quilting.

June 11 and 18, 5:30 p.m.

A supply list will be provided (fabric, batting, thread, sewing machine, rotary cutter, etc.).

This delightful two day class on April 30 and May 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The basis cost of the class is $45 and includes the fabric for the top and appliqué pieces, interfacing, a 1/4 bias tape maker, and instruction. Participants must also bring a turning tool, Sue’s Glue or equivalent, a finger pressing tool or roller, and basic sewing supplies (thread, scissors, sewing machine). Additional items are available in the shop. 

The top will be completed in class. Finishing the top (quilting and binding) will be offered in April if interested.

Chat Session with Watercolor Artist, Jan Broughton

Saturday, April 6 2024, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

This session is designed for individuals who have never used watercolor paints, but want to get started. Learn the basics of where to begin, what products to use, and experience the joy of using watercolor paints before you leave the session.

Thursdays, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Bring your embroidery, hand sewing, or small project to a weekly gathering focused on productivity, sharing ideas, and fun!  No registration needed and no cost to participants.
